Jayne Gavrity, MS

Jayne is a Senior Biomedical Engineer in the medical device industry. She is currently part of the device development team at AstraZeneca working to develop drug delivery systems to provide therapies to patients in both office and home settings. She received her BS and MS in biomedical engineering from the University of Rochester with a focus on biomechanics and product development. Her previous experience includes orthopedics and biomechanics research in university and industry settings. Jayne met Alissa Zingman when she was a resident at the University of Rochester and had the pleasure of working with her on a few projects and becoming friends over that time. Alissa’s EDS diagnosis and subsequent work to improve her own health and that of her patients opened up Jayne’s view to the world that is EDS and inspired her to help EDSRF achieve its goals. Jayne lives in the greater Washington D.C. area. In her spare time Jayne loves to adventure with her fiancé and their dogs.
